yes, thats right id software has announced that they have begun production of the next installment in the Doom series. And…that’s really all that we know right now. However, id has also announced that they’re now looking to hire some new people for the project. but there is more info at this link

16 years old and more alive than before, DOOM is now on the xbox live marketplace. What really gets me about DOOM is its long life span its one of the most original FPS's ever to be made but you now have cooler features like achievments, up to four players on xbox live, leaderboards, 5.1 surround sound, the graphics yet still sprites, are a little smoother, and it also supports HD televisions. So if you got 400 microsoft points (wow thats cheap!) prepare to doom your out of state buddy or recruit your south american marine for some co-op!and thanks to the leaderboards, we can actually see who is the DOOM master!
